At our main office on Mulberry St, we see patients and perform injections of botulinum toxin (Botox®) for migraines and spasticity. At our testing center on Pine St, we perform diagnostic tests such as EMG, EEG, and MRI. We also see patients for new patient and follow-up visits at Pine St, so be sure to verify with our staff the location of your visit, prior to the day of your appointment.
Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) are two tests that are always performed in conjunction with one another. An EMG/NCS procedure involves using electrical stimulation and needle recording electrodes to diagnose disorders such as neuropathy, myopathy, or radiculopathy (pinched nerve root).
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic test which can show the anatomy of the brain and spine. This procedure can aid in the diagnosis of disorders such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, and tumors of the central nervous system.
Electroencephalography (EEG) is a diagnostic study involving placing recording electrodes all over the scalp. EEG can assist in the diagnosis of epileptic seizures.
